Nazar ki dua

The concept of Nazar ki dua (evil eye) is widely recognized in Islamic tradition. It refers to the harmful effects of someone’s envy or admiration, which can negatively impact a person’s health, success, or well-being. Islam provides several supplications (duas) for protection from the evil eye.
Quranic Duas for Protection from Nazar
- Surah Al-Falaq (113) and Surah An-Nas (114)
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recommended reciting these two Surahs for protection from all kinds of harm, including the evil eye.
Translation of Surah Al-Falaq (113:1-5):
Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of the dawn, From the evil of what He has created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of those who blow on knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies.” - Surah Al-Nas (114:1-6)
This Surah seeks refuge in Allah from all forms of harm caused by evil whisperings. - Ayat-ul-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255)
Reciting Ayat-ul-Kursi provides strong protection from all types of harm, including the evil eye.
Translation:
“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence… His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”
